Meet the founder

I'm Nomi Ali Tariq — and I'm not a guru who got lucky on a few trades and bought a Lambo.

18 years inside financial services — the engine room, not the sales floor. Now teaching the Omega Wheel honestly.

The version that's actually true

Most trading educators lead with a wealth number. I'll lead with a resume.

For 18 years I worked inside financial services. Not as a portfolio manager on a Bloomberg terminal, not on a hedge-fund trading desk, not managing client capital. I was in the engine room — the systems, the reporting, the risk infrastructure that big money actually runs on.

Institutions don't get rich by predicting which way the market moves tomorrow. They get rich by running disciplined systems that get paid systematically — regardless of direction. I saw that from the inside for 18 years. Then I applied it to my own account.

That's the honest version. Here's how I got there.

2007
BS, Baruch College
First job out of school: fund accounting.
2007 – 2008
Investment Accountant · JPMorgan Chase
Fund accounting, NAV strikes, capital calls, waterfall distributions. Learned how institutional money actually gets tracked, priced, and reported — one basis point at a time.
2008 – 2011
Reporting Analyst · Credit Suisse First Boston
Data and reporting infrastructure through the aftermath of the 2008 crisis. If you want a permanent education in why risk management matters, that was the classroom.
2011 – 2015
Senior Business Consultant · eFront
Private equity and real-estate investment software for institutional GPs. Deployed systems used by billion-dollar allocators. Learned how the sharpest professionals actually track their portfolios.
2015 – 2017
PM / Business Analyst · SEI Investments
Wealth Management Platform. Where high-net-worth money meets the systems that manage it. I built the pipes.
2017 – 2018
Senior Infrastructure Project Manager · Goldman Sachs
Vendor-risk systems, KY3P integration. Not on the trading floor — behind it, building the risk plumbing that keeps a bank standing.
2019 – 2022
Product Owner · Cashforoldhome.com
Built a 15M-datapoint pricing algorithm for a real-estate iBuyer. Different asset class, same lesson: rules and math beat opinion and gut feel.
November 2021 · the turning point
Options training · Maverick Trading — "Option Foundations"
Got formally trained on options selling — cash-secured puts, covered calls, the wheel. It clicked immediately because it wasn't speculation — it was the same systems-and-risk discipline I'd spent 15 years watching institutions use, applied to a retail account. I started running the wheel on my own money that quarter, and I've been running it every week since.
2022 – 2025
Financial Solutions PM · Dragoneer Investment Group ($25B PE)
Led platform transformations at a $25 billion private-equity fund. My last full-time stop before going all-in on Omega. Full immersion in how top-tier professionals think about risk, structure, and long-horizon compounding.
2026 · Omega Income Club (relaunched)
Teaching the wheel — honestly.
I originally ran Omega years ago and made every mistake early trading educators make. This relaunch is the version I wish I'd started with: one strategy, taught with real risks disclosed, from someone who actually runs it.

Why Omega exists, in one page

Options-selling education online is a swamp. Half the "gurus" are broke kids in rented Lambos. The other half are legitimately talented traders who got so good at trading they stopped being able to teach beginners. The middle is empty.

I built Omega for the middle. Specifically for:

The wheel isn't magic. It's not risk-free. It's not going to make you rich by August. What it is — done properly, on the right stocks, at the right size — is a systematic way to generate consistent option premium as income while owning businesses you'd be genuinely glad to hold.

That's the entire pitch. If it sounds too boring to be exciting, that's the compliment I'm going for.

What Omega is — and isn't

✓ What Omega IS

  • An education business — courses, community, coaching
  • Focused on one strategy: the wheel. Cash-secured puts and covered calls.
  • Built on honesty about risk — including the risks nobody else discloses
  • For traders with $20k+ real capital and 2–4 hrs/week
  • Taught by someone who runs the wheel in his own account every week

✗ What Omega is NOT

  • Not a registered investment advisor. I don't and will never manage anyone's money.
  • Not personalized financial advice. Everything I share is educational.
  • Not a signal service. I'll show you what I'm doing and why — you make every trade decision on your own account.
  • Not get-rich-quick. The wheel compounds slowly. On purpose.
  • Not for day traders, 0DTE speculators, or anyone chasing 10x returns

One last honest note

I'll never tell you what the market is going to do next week. Anyone who does is either lying or hasn't been humbled enough yet.

What I'll tell you is what I'm doing in my own account, and why, and what the rules are that keep me from doing something stupid. If that's useful — grab the free Starter Kit and see for yourself. If it's not, no hard feelings; there are plenty of options-education businesses out there. Just — be careful whose Discord you join.
