The Wheel Strategy Getting Started Pricing & Offers Community & Discord Risk & Legal Logistics

The Wheel Strategy

What exactly is "the wheel"?

The wheel is an options-selling strategy with two legs: (1) sell cash-secured puts on stocks you'd genuinely be glad to own; (2) if you get assigned, sell covered calls on the shares until they're called away. Then repeat. You collect option premium the whole time, whether or not the market cooperates. It's not directional betting — you're getting paid to take on defined obligations. Full explanation in the free Starter Kit.

Is the wheel actually profitable?

On quality stocks, run with discipline, over years — historically yes. Realistic annualized returns are in the 10–20% range for well-run wheel accounts. Some years will be higher, some lower. Anyone promising you 50% a year or "guaranteed income" is lying. The wheel is a slow-compounding income system, not a get-rich-quick strategy.

Isn't the wheel just "picking up pennies in front of a steamroller"?

That's the common criticism. It's fair for people who wheel bad stocks — high-IV meme names, single-drug biotechs, story stocks. On those, yes, one bad move can wipe out months of premium. But on quality names (mature businesses, positive free cash flow, dividend-paying) run at appropriate position sizing, the "steamroller" scenarios are drawdowns you can hold through while continuing to collect premium. The wheel isn't risk-free; it's a strategy where the risks are known and can be managed with rules.

How is this different from day trading or options buying?

Directional trading — day trading, momentum plays, buying calls or puts — requires you to be right about market direction AND timing. Historically that's a very hard game to win consistently, and most retail traders lose money doing it. The wheel flips the setup: you sell options to those directional traders and get paid the premium they're paying for the right to bet on direction. You don't need to predict the market; you need to pick quality companies and follow rules.

How much time does the wheel take per week?

2 to 4 hours a week once you're up to speed. Sunday planning ~30 min, Monday order placement ~30 min, Wednesday check-in ~10 min, Friday close-outs and journal ~15 min. This is why the wheel works well for people with day jobs — you're not chained to a screen.

Getting Started

Do I need experience with options?

Some helps. You should at least know what a call and a put are. If you're comfortable reading an option chain, you're ready. If you're brand new to options, start with the free Starter Kit to get oriented, then consider the $497 course which starts from foundations.

How much capital do I need to start?

Practical minimum: $20,000. Under that, you can't diversify across enough names to run the wheel safely — one bad assignment ties up all your capital. At $20k–$50k you can run 3–4 positions across different names. At $50k+ you have real room. Under $20k, take the course, paper trade, save up. The wheel doesn't reward forcing it with too little capital.

What broker should I use?

Any US broker with options approval at Level 2 or higher works. My personal preference order: TastyTrade (cleanest for options sellers), ThinkOrSwim/Schwab (most powerful platform), Interactive Brokers (best for larger accounts). Get a margin account (not cash) — we won't use margin, but margin accounts have faster settlement.

What options approval level do I need?

Level 2. That covers cash-secured puts and covered calls, which is all the wheel needs. Don't request Level 3 or 4 unless you understand spreads and naked options; asking for higher levels just complicates your application.

Can I run this in an IRA or Roth?

Yes — and often it's ideal. Wheel income in a tax-advantaged account grows tax-deferred (traditional IRA) or tax-free (Roth). Check with your broker to make sure your specific IRA type allows cash-secured puts and covered calls. Most do.

Pricing & Offers

What's included in the free Starter Kit?

A 6-page PDF-quality walkthrough of the wheel: mechanics, the 5 rules, a worked example, the 4 common pitfalls, and a pre-trade checklist. Plus a weekly market note from me. All free, no credit card. Get it here.

What's the difference between Course, Membership, and 1:1?

Course ($497, one-time) — teaches you the system. 6 modules, 24 lessons, downloadable playbooks. Self-paced. Watch once, refer back forever.

Membership ($100/mo) — shadow me weekly. The Sunday trade plan, live prep call, members' Discord with real-time trades, monthly office hours. For when you know the wheel and want ongoing exposure to how I run it.

1:1 Mentorship ($3,500+, application only) — I build your personal playbook. Biweekly 1:1 calls, direct DM access, custom-scoped to your account and goals. For serious traders who want a coach on their real account.

Should I take the course first, then join membership? Or skip the course?

Take the course first if you're new to the wheel or want the fundamentals structured. Skip straight to membership if you already know the wheel and just want live exposure. Many members do both — course to learn, membership to shadow real trades week-by-week.

Is there a payment plan?

Course: no, it's a small enough one-time cost. Membership: no, it's monthly by design — cancel any time. 1:1 Mentorship: yes, 3-pay plans available. Discuss on the Strategy Call.

Can I upgrade from Course/Membership to 1:1 later?

Yes — happens often. Any amount you've paid for the course or membership in the prior 3 months credits against your 1:1 investment. So you're never "double paying."

Refund policy?

Course: 30-day satisfaction guarantee, no questions asked.
Membership: cancel anytime. No refund on the current billing period; you keep access through the end of what you paid for.
1:1 Mentorship: limited refunds documented in the mentorship agreement; once sessions have begun, refunds are generally unavailable. Full terms in the agreement.

Community & Discord

What's in the free Discord?

Introduce-yourself, general chat, wins channel, announcements, and the free Starter Kit channel. Anyone can join — no purchase required. Full breakdown at omegaincomeclub.com/discord.

What do Members get in Discord that free users don't?

The weekly-trade-plan channel (Sunday drops), wheel-trade-ideas (live setups), assignment-and-rolling walkthroughs, covered-calls management, ask-me-anything with fast reply, plus the members' voice call for Sunday market prep and monthly office hours.

Do you tell members exactly what to trade?

No. I share what I'm doing in my own account and why. Every member makes their own decisions on their own account. Anyone promising you signals to blindly copy is either lying or breaking securities regulations. Real edge comes from a system you understand and run yourself.

Risk & Legal

Is Omega Income Club a registered investment advisor?

No. Omega is an education business. We teach a strategy. We don't manage anyone's money, we don't recommend specific securities for your specific situation, and nothing we teach is personalized financial advice. Full disclosure at omegaincomeclub.com/legal.

Are you a licensed financial advisor?

Nomi's background is 18 years in financial services (fund accounting, reporting, and fintech at JPMorgan, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and a $25B private equity firm), plus formal options training via Maverick Trading in 2021. He is not a registered RIA and does not give personalized investment advice. Full bio at omegaincomeclub.com/about.

Can I lose money doing this?

Yes. Options trading involves substantial risk. Cash-secured puts obligate you to buy shares at the strike if assigned, and if those shares then drop further, you have a paper loss. Covered calls cap your upside on the shares. Individual results vary widely and depend on stock selection, sizing, timing, and market conditions. You should never risk more than you can afford to lose. Full risk disclosure at omegaincomeclub.com/legal.

Do you guarantee any returns?

Absolutely not. Anyone in trading education who guarantees returns is either lying or committing securities fraud. What we guarantee: honest education, transparent risk disclosure, and a system that has historically worked on quality names when run with discipline. Your results are your own.

Logistics

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. ACH and bank transfer available for 1:1 mentorship. No crypto, no PayPal.

Can international students join?

The community, course, and Discord are open to anyone worldwide. However, the wheel strategy requires a brokerage account that allows options trading and, ideally, US market access. If you can open a US-approved brokerage account (many international brokers offer this), you can run the wheel. Tax treatment varies by country — consult a local tax professional.
