Why this matters: your broker shows you the assignment price as your "cost basis." That's wrong. Your true cost basis is that price minus every dollar of premium you kept during the trade — including original put premium, roll credits, and every covered call. This tool tracks all of that for you so you know exactly at what price a covered call would lock in a profit versus a loss.
Legend of trade types:
Sell Put (STO): opening a cash-secured put — adds premium × 100 × contracts to cash.
Buy Put (BTC): closing/rolling a put — subtracts the buy-back cost.
Assigned: put exercised → 100 shares × contracts hit your account at the strike.
Sell Call (STO): covered call opened — adds premium × 100 × contracts to cash.
Buy Call (BTC): covered call closed early.
Called Away: call exercised → shares sold at the strike; cycle closes.
Dividend: optional cash dividends received while holding shares.
Not tax advice. This tracker computes your economic cost basis for decision-making. For tax reporting, use your broker's 1099-B (wash-sale rules can adjust the tax basis differently). Data is stored in your browser only — nothing sent to a server. Refresh loses it unless you save the URL bookmark of this session (planned feature).
